おはようございます　jun_1981です

秋の長雨ならぬ、夏の長雨でタイミング合わずプールに行けていないです・・・。

そんな中、本屋さんでふと目に付いた「鹿の王」


本書は、2015年に発表された上橋 菜穂子（うえはし・なほこ）さん著作になります。

略歴：東京生まれ。文化人類学者。1989年『精霊の木』で作家デビュー。2015年『鹿の王』で第12回本屋大賞を受賞。

本作は、伝染病感染からふたりだけ生き残った父子と、若き天才医術師が未曾有の危機に挑む、綿密な医療サスペンスにして壮大なる冒険小説になっていて、ファンタジー要素も満載

医療関係の文献を読み込み、お医者さんであるいとこさんとの綿密なチェック作業を経て完成させたという
本格医療小説という面もあり最近の医療系ドラマが好きな方はいいかも
そして児童向けでもある内容だが少し医療要素に戸惑ってしまう・・・
そんな児童でもゲーム好き・ファンタジー好きな小学校高学年～であれば難なく読むことができそうな作品になっています。

「守り人」シリーズ及び「獣の奏者」という代表作をお持ちで、実に３年ぶりに書き下ろしたという作品を今さらながら文庫本ではありますが、読んでいます。

中々本を読む機会というのは無いのですが、ふと寄った本屋さんでの惹かれ具合からして、これは読むべきだろうと思い手に取った。

本書（文庫本）は４巻構成となっており、2017年6月17日に１巻・２巻が発売、7月25日に3巻・4巻が発売になってます。

今回のテーマはずばり

「命」

勝手に解釈してます・・・

まだまだ全部読み終えていないが、生きるとは何かということを何回も問いかけてくる内容になっていてふと自分に置き換えた時に

「命」とは？

「家族」とは？

「生きている」ってなんだろう？
と、考えさせられると同時に非常に読みやすく

物語のスピード感が早く、次はどうなるんだろう？って次が早く読みたくなるそんな作品

久々に良作に出会えて満足してます

もう少しで読み終えるのがなんだかさみしいです

And I do have a couple of questions for you if it's
